Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/28/2012 -- TV drama fans are in for a treat in 2013 when Australian heartthrob actor Brett Tucker lands on the small screen in the brand new ABC drama 'Mistresses'. Australian actor Brett Tucker may not be that well known to American audiences but that's about to change soon. In May of 2013 Tucker will be starring in a brand new ABC drama series titled 'Mistresses'. The series is an adaptation of a British show that was broadcast in Britain from 2008-10 and details the increasingly complicated lives of four female friends. The drama series also features Alyssa Milano, Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim and Jes Macallan.
According to ABC's official website, post production work is already under way on the series which has been adapted from the original British version which first aired from 2008-10 in Britain and helped Tucker boost his profile considerably in Britain. Although Tucker is not that well known in the USA, he is a household name in Australia after starring as Scott Lovejoy in the TV movie 'Halifax f.p: The Spider and the Fly' and the long running soap 'Neighbors'.
Brett Tucker had already made something of a name for himself in Britain after starring in the long running primetime soap 'Neighbors'. The Australian soap has long been a staple of British television and has been on the air continuously for over 25 years. Tucker played the much loved character 'Daniel Fitzgerald' in 'Neighbors' after launching his career playing 'Max Regnery' in children's series 'The Saddle Club'. 2013 is set to be the year when Tucker can add the USA to the list of countries where he is a household name.
In his homeland of Australia, audiences also know Tucker from his starring role in the hugely successful TV movie 'Halifax f.p: The Spider and the Fly', where he played the character 'Scott Lovejoy'. Initial reports from test screenings of 'Mistresses' suggest that Tucker's character in 'Mistresses', Harry Dillon bears more than just little resemblance to his 'Scott Lovejoy' character.
